Restoration of open land habitat types
Open land habitats are valuable ecosystems, such as meadows, pastures, field margins, nutrient-poor grasslands, and dry grasslands. Habitat loss, lack of maintenance or intensification of cultivation, climate change, eutrophication, and the invasion of neophytes are reducing the quality of these habitats. Our working groups are involved in a variety of projects that contribute to the preservation, restoration, and enhancement of open land habitats.
