Animal ecology and wildlife conservation
The working group led by Prof. Dr. habil. Christina Fischer at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences consists of a dedicated team of researchers. Together, we conduct research in various projects on animal ecology issues related to biodiversity in agricultural and open landscapes. Our work focuses on the occurrence, habitat requirements and ecosystem functions of indicator species, as well as on the data-based analysis of large biodiversity datasets. The aim of our research is to gain a better understanding of ecological relationships and to establish a scientific basis for the conservation and enhancement of biodiversity.
